Ventura police investigate downtown double stabbing, no suspect located
Two adult males were critically injured near Chestnut Street south of Main Street around 1:37 a.m. Aug. 30. Both were taken to VCMC and are expected to survive.
Ventura police are investigating a double stabbing that occurred in downtown Ventura early Sunday morning.
Officers responded around 1:37 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, to a report of a stabbing near Chestnut Street south of Main Street, according to the Ventura Police Department news release.
Responding officers located two adult males in the area who were critically injured from stab wounds. Both were transported to Ventura County Medical Center for medical care and are expected to survive their injuries, the department said.
No suspect located. Officers conducted an extensive search for the suspect with negative results. Major Crimes Unit detectives and crime scene forensic specialists responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
