Ventura receives final map for 297-unit Olivas Park mixed-use development
FPA Ventura Olivas plans 181 market-rate units, 104 affordable units, 12 live-work units and 15,900 square feet of commercial space on a 13.75-acre parcel.

The Ventura City Engineer received the final subdivision map for Tract 6089, a 297-unit mixed-use development at the northeast corner of Olivas Park Drive and South Victoria Avenue, the City Council heard April 14.
Plans call for the 13.75-acre parcel to include 181 market-rate residential units, 104 affordable units, 12 live-work units, and 15,900 square feet of commercial space. The development is being built by FPA Ventura Olivas, LLC.
According to the April 14 agenda packet, the public notice was filed in accordance with Section 26.100.220 of the San Buenaventura Municipal Code. The notice serves as required public disclosure of the final map submittal.
That packet did not include the unit price points, the mechanism for affordability requirements, the construction timeline, or which buildings on the site would house commercial versus residential uses.
For Ventura's housing stock, the development would add 297 units, including 104 designated as affordable.
No further council action on the final map is currently scheduled; the public notice triggers the formal map approval process under the municipal code.
