Ventura council to return to City Hall, ending Wright Event Center stint
Council voted at its March 24 meeting to formally end the temporary relocation and resume regular meetings at 501 Poli Street.

The Ventura City Council voted on March 24 to end its temporary relocation to the Wright Event Center and resume meetings in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.
At its March 24 meeting, council adopted a resolution formally concluding the relocation. The next meeting after the resolution would be held at City Hall, 501 Poli Street, rather than at the Wright Event Center, 57 Day Road.
According to the March 24 agenda packet, City Clerk Michael MacDonald brought the recommendation, and the resolution was approved on consent.
That packet did not state when the temporary relocation began, the reason for it, or whether construction or other modifications at City Hall had concluded.
For Ventura residents who attend in person or watch council meetings, the change of venue takes effect with the next regular meeting; agendas and meeting packets continue to be posted on the city's online Agenda Center.
A return to standard chambers ends what the agenda described as a temporary arrangement at the Wright Event Center.
No further council action on the venue is currently scheduled.
