A woman from Los Angeles was arrested Tuesday after Ventura Police determined she pushed a student while causing a disturbance at Cabrillo Middle School.

A transient woman from Los Angeles was arrested Tuesday after Ventura Police determined she pushed a middle school student while causing a disturbance at Cabrillo Middle School.
The incident. On the morning of Sept. 15, 2026, the Ventura Police Communications Center received a report of a transient woman yelling at students in the parking lot of Cabrillo Middle School. When officers arrived, the woman had already left campus. Officers located her nearby and began investigating, according to the department's Sept. 16 news release.
The battery. During the investigation, a student came forward and reported that the woman had made physical contact with them while they were on school grounds. The juvenile victim did not sustain any injuries.
The arrest. The adult suspect was arrested for battery, child endangerment, and trespassing on school grounds. She was booked into Ventura County Jail.
